About the H4SE

The Hegel H4SE is an improved version of the H4A MK2, incorporating technologies from the H20 series, including Hegel Next-Gen input stages and SoundEngine modules. It features completely separate voltage gain and current gain stages per channel for higher dynamic range, precise instrument imaging, and a wide soundstage. The amplifier eliminates dynamic distortion and transistor sound, providing a smooth, transparent, and detailed reproduction with deep bass and high-resolution midrange. As a dual-mono design, it uses patented amplification technology with integrated audio stages and power supplies, capable of delivering over 200A peak current to drive any speaker load stably, even below 1 ohm. It supports both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, with two pairs of heavy-duty gold-plated speaker terminals per channel for bi-wiring. Listed as discontinued on the official Hegel site.
