The Hegel CDP4A is a discontinued high-end CD player featuring a custom Hegel CD-Drive mechanism with redesigned servo motors for precise timing and natural sound reproduction. It uses advanced 24-bit 352kHz multilevel DACs with synchronized upsampling and Hegel's SuperClock 2 for jitter below 10ps. The player offers both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR analog outputs at 2.3-2.4V RMS, plus a digital SPDIF RCA output for external DACs. Designed for durability and superior audio performance with a larger dynamic range, lower coloration, and better outputs than the CDP2A model. Controlled via minimal front buttons or RC2 remote. Available in black or silver finishes.
