About the H200
The Hegel H200 is a high-end integrated amplifier designed to deliver exceptional sonic performance and drive virtually any loudspeaker with authority. With a robust dual-mono class-A/B design, it outputs 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms (350W into 4 ohms) and boasts a minimum load rating of 2 ohms. The H200 incorporates Hegel's patented SoundEngine technology, which minimizes crossover distortion and provides the benefits of class-A operation in a class-A/B topology. It features a minimalist Scandinavian design, a blue LED display, and a digitally controlled active preamp stage. Connectivity includes two unbalanced RCA inputs, one balanced XLR input, a home theater/power-amp input, two preamp outputs, and a record output. The H200 is remote-controlled and includes a home theater bypass for integration with AV systems. Its high damping factor (4000) and substantial power supply ensure dynamic, rhythmic sound and compatibility with demanding speakers. The H200 is now discontinued but remains highly regarded for its musicality and build quality.
