The Heed Audio Obelisk X2 (also styled X-2) is an optional external, unregulated dual-mono power-supply unit for compatible Obelisk Si integrated amplifiers, including the Obelisk Si II and Si III. It supplies the amplifier’s power-output stage separately, leaving the Obelisk Si’s internal supply dedicated to the preamplifier section. In the documented Obelisk Si configuration, this increases rated continuous output from 2 × 40 W into 8 ohms / 2 × 65 W into 4 ohms to 2 × 50 W into 8 ohms / 2 × 80 W into 4 ohms. Connection is via a dedicated 5-pin power umbilical/output; the amplifier uses its internal supply when the X2 is absent. The X2 has dual-mono supply rails, is intended to improve power and impedance handling, and is available in black or white finishes. It is a power-supply accessory rather than a standalone amplifier, DAC, streamer, or phono stage.
