The Hashimoto HM-3 is a premium Japanese step-up transformer (SUT) for moving coil (MC) phono cartridges, renowned for its wide soundstage, tight bass, and clear highs. It features switchable configurations for optimal matching: series for 26dB gain (20x) suiting 7-40Ω cartridges, and parallel for 32dB gain (40x) for 2-7Ω cartridges.
