The Harman/kardon Signature 2.1 is a multi-channel power amplifier manufactured between 1997 and 2001, featuring a high-current, ultrawide-bandwidth design with fanless cooling. It delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohm speakers and 150 watts into 4 ohm speakers across the full audible bandwidth with less than 0.03% total harmonic distortion when all channels are driven. The amplifier has 5 inputs and 5 loudspeaker outputs, each input being a 1V, 33 kOhm Cinch connection. It supports automatic turn-on triggered by compatible Harman/kardon preamplifiers or surround processors and includes a remote trigger input for external control. The unit weighs 21 kg and measures 438 x 191 x 387 mm. It consumes up to 950 watts of power and features a signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB. The amplifier is finished in anthracite color and was originally priced around 3,999 DM.
