About the CDR 20

The Harman Kardon CDR 20 is a dual-tray CD player/recorder that plays standard audio CDs plus audio-type CD-R and CD-RW discs, and records to audio CD-R and CD-RW (not computer data discs). It offers internal high-speed digital dubbing at up to 4x, CD Sync recording from an external CD player, Single-Play, Dual-Play and Relay Play modes, repeat functions, 20-track programming, and uses audiophile-grade AKM 24-bit/96kHz D/A and A/D converters for high-quality playback and recording. Additional features include a sampling-rate converter, SCMS copy management, automatic or manual track incrementing, record-level indicators, erase/unfinalize functions for CD-RWs, front-panel and rear digital inputs, coaxial and optical digital outputs, analog I/O, a headphone jack with level control, and the ability to function as a CD transport via its digital outputs. A remote control was supplied, and the model is no longer in production.
