About the P3ESR

The Harbeth P3ESR is a compact stand-mount loudspeaker, successor to the legendary BBC LS3/5A, designed for high-fidelity domestic listening. It features a 110mm Harbeth RADIAL2 bass/mid driver made from a patented injection moulded polypropylene diaphragm and a 19mm ferrofluid-cooled Seas soft dome tweeter. The speaker has a frequency response of 75Hz to 20kHz ±3dB in free space with the grille on, and an impedance of 6 ohms, making it easy to drive. Sensitivity is rated at 83.5dB (1W/1m), requiring a fairly powerful amplifier despite its limited 50W program power handling. The enclosure is a thin-wall closed cabinet optimized for use away from walls with tweeters at ear level. Dimensions are 306mm high, 190mm wide, and 184mm deep, with each speaker weighing approximately 6.1kg. It is designed to perform best at normal listening levels between 70dB and 90dB, making it ideal for domestic environments.
