About the DM88

The Halcro DM88 is a solid-state monoblock power amplifier with active power-factor correction and four input modes: balanced XLR voltage mode, unbalanced RCA voltage mode, current mode, and minimal-path mode. It delivers more than 270 watts into 8 ohms and more than 500 watts into 4 ohms. Its measured distortion is specified at below -126 dB up to 20 kHz at full power, with total harmonic distortion below -140 dB at 1 kHz. Equivalent input noise is specified as 5 nV/√Hz in voltage mode and 6 pA/√Hz in current mode. Protection circuitry shuts the amplifier down in response to excessive temperature, sustained high current, continuous DC at the output, input overload, and various power-supply faults. The universal power supply accepts 85–270 V RMS at 45–65 Hz. Each monoblock measures 790 × 400 × 400 mm and weighs 55 kg.
