About the Kodo

The Gryphon Audio Designs Kodo is a Danish, four-way, four-tower reference loudspeaker system consisting of two bass towers and two mid/high-frequency towers, one pair per channel. It uses 38 custom-designed drivers in total—19 per channel—including eight 8-inch woofers, six 5.5-inch midbass drivers, four 4.5-inch midrange drivers, and one AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter per channel. The sealed bass towers include Gryphon-built Class AB amplification, active low-frequency filtering, remotely adjustable bass level and Q settings, and selectable low-frequency cutoff. The mid/high section uses a passive Duelund Constant Phase crossover and a curved, time-coherent driver layout. Gryphon’s current product page and owner documentation continue to present Kodo as part of the company’s collection; no reliable evidence indicates that it has been discontinued, although availability is likely highly limited and market-dependent.
