About the Atlantis Reference

The Gryphon Atlantis Reference Loudspeaker System is a premium three-way loudspeaker designed and hand-built in Denmark. It features a Duelund Constant Phase crossover ensuring perfect phase alignment at all frequencies, an on-axis time-aligned front baffle curvature for identical arrival time from all drivers, and special cone surround termination to eliminate edge reflections. The system includes a hand-adjusted passive crossover network with battery-powered bias for selected crossover capacitors, an Accuton 30mm concave ceramic tweeter loaded with a proprietary Gryphon wave guide, and custom-made Danish 8" woofer and 5" midrange drivers. The enclosure is reinforced with extensive internal bracing and uses a combination of pure wool and synthetic interior damping materials. It offers a frequency response of 25 Hz to 32 kHz (-3 dB, room dependent), a sensitivity of 90 dB/2.83V, and a nominal impedance of 4 Ohm. Dimensions are 39 x 118 x 72 cm, and each speaker weighs 85 kg. The Atlantis delivers low-level dynamic resolution, superior transient articulation, and bass weight that enhance musical realism and involvement.
