About the DAC-09

The Grant Fidelity Tube DAC-09 is a budget-friendly hybrid digital-to-analog converter featuring a tube output stage, solid-state preamp bypass option, and OP amp headphone amplifier. It uses a Cirrus Logic DAC chip and supports up to 96kHz sample rate, with a planned upgraded 192kHz version. It mates effectively with mid-fi CD transports ( - range) for improved sound quality and build. Tube rolling is possible with its Chinese 6N3/5670 tube. Note: This model is a rebranded Xiang Sheng DAC-01A, authorized by Grant Fidelity for North America with after-sale support. It appears no longer manufactured, with used listings scarce.
