About the Apex
The Grand Prix Audio Apex footers are highly advanced vibration isolation devices that serve as component footers or floor-to-column interfaces for equipment isolation supports. They are constructed from hand-laminated carbon composites cured under high pressure in a vacuum environment, with a proprietary polymer developed in collaboration with aerospace engineers to decouple structural elements and dissipate energy effectively. Featuring a ball-bearing tip housed in a polished stainless steel cup with a threaded knuckle adjuster, Apex footers provide stable support without wobble, allowing two degrees of horizontal freedom and height adjustment. They significantly reduce system noise floor and microphony, improving musical clarity and detail. Apex footers are sold as a set of three, each with a diameter of 2.5 inches, height of 1.45 inches, and weight of 130 grams, with load capacity tested beyond 1,000 pounds per footer. Optional silicon nitride ball upgrades and various thread sizes for levelers are available. Apex XL and Apex Mini variants offer different sizes and weights for tailored performance needs.
