The Graham Engineering 2.0 tonearm upgraded to 2.2 status includes a new bearing system with a brass bearing cap replacing the original aluminum one, small changes to the armwand support block, and a new one-piece mounting base. This upgrade significantly improves midbass/midrange fullness and high-frequency smoothness. The upgrade kit costs around and can be installed by unscrewing the old bearing cap and replacing it with the new one. The armwand is ceramic, providing rigidity and precision, and the bearing system is designed for low friction and high energy absorption. The tonearm is a medium-mass, damped unipivot design with an effective length of 235mm and an effective mass of 11 grams. The upgrade also involves adjustments to the damping fluid level for optimal sound performance. The 2.2 bearing caps are available in chrome or gold plating to match the tonearm's finish. This upgrade is compatible with previous Graham models 1.5t, 2.0, and 2.1 tonearms.
