About the Phantom B-44 mkII
The Graham Phantom B-44 mkII tonearm represents the culmination of years of research and refinement in design theory, materials, and testing. It features the patented Magneglide™ stabilization system using neodymium magnets to provide lateral stability, azimuth correction, resonance damping, and anti-skate correction. The armwand is made of titanium with a proprietary Lorzig-ceramic glass overlay for extensional damping and elegant appearance. The arm tube is progressionally extruded to resist standing waves, and the pivot uses a Swiss-made tungsten carbide cup and pivot for precision and durability. The Phantom B-44 mkII delivers deep, detailed bass extension, silky-smooth inner detail, dynamic impact, and a large, natural soundstage. It supports a wide cartridge weight range (5-18 grams) and offers easy, accurate alignment with a patented system. Available in multiple effective lengths (9", 10", 12") and mounting profiles (Graham Custom Mount and SME mount), it is widely regarded as a benchmark tonearm for analog playback with a smooth, extended high-frequency response and exceptional musicality.
