About the Eroica LX

The Goldring Eroica LX is a high-performance low-output moving coil cartridge designed for audiophiles. It features the famous Gyger II line-contact diamond stylus with a 6 µm lesser radius, providing smooth, extended highs with low distortion and minimal sibilance. The cartridge uses hand-wound pure iron armature coils suspended in an advanced magnetic circuit with powerful neodymium rare-earth magnets, resulting in a low mass and efficient design. The body is made from ultra-rigid, glass-reinforced polyester called Pocan®, which securely holds components and reduces unwanted vibrations. The cartridge is hand-built and individually adjusted for azimuth and compliance to ensure optimal stereo imaging and frequency response. It requires a dedicated moving coil phono input amplifier due to its low output of 0.5 mV. The Eroica LX offers exceptional detail, dynamic soundstage, and compatibility with a wide range of tonearms.
