About the Two

The GoldenEar Triton Two is a three-way, five-driver floorstanding speaker that incorporates a built-in powered subwoofer. It features a High-Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeter inspired by Dr. Oskar Heil's Air Motion Transformer design, providing exceptional treble extension, transient speed, and low distortion. The midrange section uses two 4.5" cast-basket Multi-Vaned Phase Plug (MVPP) drivers arranged in a D’Appolito configuration for smooth frequency response and high transient accuracy. The built-in subwoofer includes dual 5" x 9" long-throw quadratic subwoofer bass drivers coupled with dual 7" x 10" quadratic planar infrasonic passive radiators, powered by a 1200-watt DSP-controlled digital amplifier. This design delivers deep bass down to 16Hz with high output and low distortion. The cabinet is slim, curved, and tapered with a piano black finish, optimized for both stereo and home theater use. The speaker has a sensitivity of 91 dB, nominal impedance of 4 ohms, and supports recommended amplifier power from 20 to 500 watts per channel. Dimensions are approximately 48.5" H x 11.7" W x 19.1" D, weighing about 60 pounds. It comes with a 5-year warranty on drivers and cabinet, and 3 years on the amplifier.
