About the Three+

The GoldenEar Triton Three+ is a high-performance floorstanding loudspeaker designed for both two-channel stereo and multi-channel home theater systems. It features a semi-active 3-way design with a built-in 800W class-D amplifier powering a long-throw 5" x 9" quadratic subwoofer bass driver, supported by two 6.75" x 8" quadratic planar passive radiators for enhanced bass response. The midrange is handled by a 4.5" cast-basket driver with a Multi-Vaned Phase Plug (MVPP) for smooth linear response, and the high frequencies are reproduced by GoldenEar's signature High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeter, known for its fine resolution and dynamic range. The speaker has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms (compatible with 8 ohms), a sensitivity of 90 dB, and a frequency response from 21 Hz to 35 kHz. It is housed in a black gloss MDF cabinet with a curved front grille and measures approximately 44.5" H x 11.6" W x 17.6" D including the base. The Triton Three+ weighs 45 pounds and includes a 5-year warranty on drivers and cabinet, and 3 years on electronics. It is designed to deliver powerful, deep bass blended with smooth midrange and detailed highs, often eliminating the need for an external subwoofer in typical listening rooms.
