The Gold Note Stibbert ver 5 is the fifth edition of the renowned Stibbert CD player, known for its distinctive curved chassis isolated by four conical springs to virtually eliminate vibration feedback. It uses a drawer-type transport mechanism with a proprietary Dual-Speed device to ensure stable disc rotation and minimal speed fluctuation (0.0001%). The player incorporates the Zero-Clock™ digital control system to cut jitter and clock errors, enhancing audio fidelity. It is powered by the Electro-Power™ system, a super linear power supply with an innovative current generator that cleans the signal before the analog stage. The analog output stage is a sophisticated Class A truly balanced tube design using two 6922 tubes, delivering a warm and detailed sound. Outputs include stereo RCA and balanced XLR, plus a 75 Ohm RCA digital output. The player measures 480mm wide, 250mm high, and 450mm deep, weighing 13 kg. It supports 24bit/192kHz playback with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz ±0.3dB, total harmonic distortion of 0.05%, signal-to-noise ratio of 105dB, and dynamic response of 127dB. The Stibbert ver 5 is discontinued but remains highly regarded for its build quality and sonic performance.
