About the 242 Broadband Panel
The GIK Acoustics 242 Broadband Panel is a high-performance acoustic absorber engineered for effective room treatment. It features a rigid rock mineral wool core, which provides significantly better low-frequency absorption than comparable foam-based products. The panel employs a patented two-frame system that allows sound to be absorbed from the sides while maintaining a crisp, sharp edge. A built-in air gap enhances low-end absorption and enables the panel to hang flush against the wall using an integrated wire on the back. The open-back design further improves low-frequency performance and ensures a truly flush mount. The 242 is available in multiple standard sizes and custom options, and can be easily installed on walls or ceilings. Optional accessories include a Scatter Plate for balanced absorption and diffusion, and metal stands or boom stand brackets for free-standing use. The panel is Class A fire rated and constructed with environmentally friendly materials.
