About the 6.1
The Genesis 6.1 is a flagship 5.1-channel speaker system designed for audiophile and home theater use. Each tower speaker weighs 136 pounds and features two 1" circular planar ribbon tweeters (front and rear), one 5" titanium-cone midrange driver, two 6.5" aluminum-cone midranges, and two 12" ribbed aluminum-cone woofers. The cabinet is uniquely designed with a 2-inch-thick front baffle, curved sides, rigid internal bracing, and a 5° back tilt for precise phase alignment. The rear of the cabinet is open to form a three-sided box, allowing dipole operation for midrange and midbass drivers and unrestricted operation for the rear tweeter. The speaker has a frequency response of 16Hz to 36kHz (+/-3dB), sensitivity of 90dB/W/m, and nominal impedance of 4 ohms. It includes controls for tweeter level (+/-1dB), midrange level (+/-0.75dB), lowpass, bass gain, and LFE gain. The built-in servo amplifier delivers 500W to the woofers. Inputs include speaker-level 5-way binding posts, line-level unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR, and LFE inputs. The Genesis 6.1 is praised for its deep soundstage, low distortion, and ability to reproduce frequencies beyond the audible range, making it suitable for both music and cinema applications. It is finished in rosewood by default, with options for olive burl, pomele sapele, or custom automotive finishes at additional cost.
