About the RS5i

The GamuT RS5i is a 2½-way floorstanding loudspeaker featuring a design optimized for impulse response and bass reflex. It includes drivers developed with Danish experts: a 1.5" silk cone ring radiator tweeter with neodymium magnet, a 7" mid-woofer with sliced paper cone impregnated with natural oils, and a 7" woofer with wood fibre cone and solid wood dust cap for optimal impulse behavior. The drivers are physically and electronically aligned for superior phase response and musical presentation, with crossover points at 550 Hz and 2,250 Hz. The cabinet is constructed from 21 layers of sustainably sourced hand-selected real wood veneer, curved and rear-tilted for acoustic performance, with complex internal bracing and minimal damping. Rear-mounted dual 5 mm aluminum ports are precisely tuned for impulse response. The speaker stands 1210 mm tall, 226 mm wide, and 575 mm deep, weighing 54 kg. It has a frequency response of 26 Hz to 60 kHz, nominal impedance of 4 ohms, and sensitivity of 88.5 dB/2.83 V. The RS5i delivers pinpoint-accurate timing, crystal clear detail, natural tonal balance from sparkling highs to velvety lows, and dynamic punch suitable for various music genres. It is designed to perform well in small to medium rooms without overwhelming them and can command medium to large spaces effectively. The finish uses luxurious tinted varnishes over natural wood without surface veneers, emphasizing organic sound quality. Speaker placement optimization is supported by GamuT with guidance and tools to achieve the best performance.
