About the LC1

The Foundation Research LC1 is an 8-foot integrated AC power cable and line conditioner that serves as a bi-directional noise filtration system. It filters noise from the incoming AC line to the connected audio component and prevents noise generated by the component from being injected back into the power line. The LC1 features a dedicated line conditioner positioned in the center of the cable, measuring 8 inches long, 5.5 inches wide, and 2.5 inches high (excluding rubber feet). The cable is constructed with an outer sheath, woven shield, and three insulated high-purity copper stranded cores, terminated with a Pass & Seymour hospital grade AC plug and a Schurter IEC320 IEC receptacle. It is designed for use with line stage preamplifiers, CD players, DVD players, transports, DACs, turntables, tuners, and electrostatic loudspeakers. The LC1 delivers 6 amps RMS (720 watts at 120 volts AC) and 8 amps peak current capacity, providing significant noise reduction without compromising dynamics or musicality. It has been praised for lowering noise floor, improving image bloom, instrument separation, and overall musical detail in audio systems.
