The Forsell Air Reference turntable features a black gloss acrylic finish with 24k gold plating on the tonearm, which is intact and visually stunning. The turntable includes a custom aluminum cabinet with acoustical dampening to silence the air pumps and high-grade power supplies for the motor. It is a rare and collectible model, often numbered with a gold plaque (e.g., #54/115). The package typically does not include a phono cartridge, allowing users to select their preferred cartridge. Recommended cables include Kimber Kable flagship phono interconnects. The turntable is heavy and requires crating for shipping. It is considered a top-tier product with a reputation for excellent performance and build quality. The Forsell Air Reference is no longer supported by the manufacturer due to lack of parts, making servicing challenging but it remains highly sought after by audiophiles.
