About the DRC
The **Filter Designer** is the core application for creating digital filters to correct room acoustics. It uses multiple measurements from various positions in the listening area, combined with user-specified targets, to generate filters that improve bass reproduction, stereo imaging, and eliminate phase and impulse response distortions. The **Impala** is a free measurement tool that simplifies the process of taking room and loudspeaker measurements. Both applications are available for Windows and macOS.
