It features switchable true-impedance attenuators on balanced inputs, which are particularly useful for handling high output levels from some equipment. The preamplifier includes a built-in dual-shielded transformer for effective noise rejection and employs fine-tuned discrete Class A circuit configurations for superior resolution. The unit is available in three versions: the standard FM 266 MK2, the MK2-R with remote control, and the MK2-RC, which includes both remote control and Acoustic Resonance Correction (ARC) circuits.
