The Finale Audio F-7189 II (also written F7189-II) is a Canadian-made stereo integrated tube amplifier using EL84/6BQ5/7189 output tubes in an autobias push-pull Class AB/pentode circuit, operating in Class A for much of its normal listening range. Finale Audio describes the amplifier as delivering 20 watts per channel of musical output, while published information specifies approximately 18 watts per channel of solid rated output with a 5AR4/GZ34 rectifier. A 5T4 rectifier can be used in the later F-1812/7189 II-related design for approximately 12 watts per channel and a different sonic character. The amplifier has switch-selectable speaker taps and a simple line-level input arrangement. The original F-7189-II is identified by Finale Audio as discontinued and has been superseded in the company's range by newer compact 6V6 push-pull integrated amplifiers.
