About the BTR17
The FiiO BTR17 combines flagship-level DAC and headphone amplifier technology in a compact portable device. It uses Qualcomm's QCC5181 Bluetooth 5.4 chip supporting LDAC, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and other codecs for high-resolution wireless audio. The device features dual ESS ES9069Q DACs with 32-bit HyperStream architecture and THX AAA 78+ four-channel fully balanced headphone amplification, delivering up to 650mW+650mW output in desktop mode. It supports wired USB DAC operation via an XMOS XU316 USB bridge with native DSD512 and full MQA decoding. The BTR17 offers 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, a 1.3-inch IPS color display, a physical volume knob, and a 10-band parametric EQ adjustable via a dedicated app or web interface. It includes a patented desktop mode that allows powering the device from an external supply for boosted output without draining the internal battery. The device supports three operating modes (PC, Bluetooth, Phone) optimized for different use cases and has a robust aluminum body with a leather back panel. Battery capacity is 1200mAh, providing long playback time with USB-C fast charging.
