The Fidelizer Nimitra2 is the premium second-generation model in the Nimitra series of computer audio servers from Fidelizer Audio, a Thailand-based audiophile boutique. Released around 2021 after delays due to COVID, it builds on the original Nimitra ( ) and Nimitra Signature ( ) with significant hardware upgrades inspired by custom high-end servers, aiming to deliver flagship-level performance at a more affordable price. Key enhancements include a custom aluminum chassis for better resonance control and heat dissipation, vibration absorbers on motherboard and chassis, upgraded Japanese MOSFETs in the power supply circuit, improved clock modules for USB/Ethernet/HDMI, and tuned capacitors for enhanced resolution and detail extraction. It runs on a specially optimized NimitraOS platform with Fidelizer software tweaks, supporting Roon, JRiver, Audirvana, HQPlayer NAA, Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, and more, featuring universal core isolation, playback optimizations, disabled CPU core parking and USB power saving, and firmware updates up to version 6.0. Internal storage is limited to 24GB SLC SSD for OS and apps (optional 2.5GB addition available), with support for external USB storage. It is recommended to pair with a linear power supply like the Nikola2 ( ) instead of the included wall-wart for optimal sound. Upgrade paths exist from prior models: from original Nimitra, from Signature, from Classic. As of 2026, it remains current alongside newer products like CoreStream, with ongoing firmware support.
