About the 2010
The Exposure 2010 Integrated Amplifier is a solid-state stereo integrated amplifier featuring a traditional design with minimal internal circuitry beyond what is necessary to amplify the signal. It delivers 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms in the original 2010 model, with the 2010S variant increasing output to 75 watts per channel. The amplifier uses discrete transistors, including Sanken bipolar output transistors, and a passive preamp stage with a motorized mechanical volume control and input selector. It has a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, total harmonic distortion around 0.3% (0.05% in the 2010S), and a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 80dB (line) or 100dB A-weighted in the 2010S. The chassis is made of all-aluminum with a heat spreader for cooling instead of a heatsink. The 2010 series is praised for its clear, rhythmically convincing bass, tuneful midrange, and transparent sound, though it may lack some upper-end sparkle and deep bass extension. It includes six line inputs, optional internal phono stage, and preamp outputs for bi-amping or driving subwoofers. The amplifier weighs about 6 to 7 kg and measures approximately 440 x 90 x 300 mm. It is regarded as a classic, affordable British integrated amp with a simple, high-quality build and excellent sound quality for its price point.
