About the XD1
The Exemplar Audio XD-1 DAC is based on the ES9038PRO DAC chip and offers a comprehensive set of features for high-fidelity audio conversion. It includes coaxial, optical, USB, and Bluetooth V5.1 inputs, allowing versatile connectivity. Outputs include gold-plated RCA and balanced XLR connectors. The unit features a 3.12 inch large OLED display for easy control and monitoring. It employs a Crystek ultra-low phase noise and low-jitter oscillator with a CMOS output fed by a dedicated Belleson regulator, ensuring precise clocking for the DAC chip. The power supply is robust with a total of 12 Belleson high-performance regulators for low voltage supplies. The output stage uses dual triode tubes with custom high voltage shunt regulators and current regulators per channel, contributing to a rich and detailed sound signature. The XD-1 DAC comes with an outboard power supply connected via a custom umbilical cable and includes a remote control for convenience. It supports PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD up to DSD256.
