About the P1X SE
The Esoteric Grandioso P1X SE is a flagship two-chassis SACD/CD transport (digital disc transport, not a DAC or analog-output disc player). It uses Esoteric’s VRDS-ATLAS precision SACD transport mechanism and a separate outboard power-supply chassis. The SE revision adds Esoteric’s in-house Master Sound Discrete Clock for Digital Player, ES-LINK 5 high-bandwidth digital transmission, redesigned pinpoint feet, low-feedback discrete DC regulation, and four independently supplied toroidal transformers. It reads stereo Super Audio CD and CD media, then sends digital audio to a compatible external DAC via proprietary ES-LINK, dual-AES XLR, or coaxial RCA outputs. External 10 MHz master-clock synchronization is provided. The product remains listed by Esoteric as a current Grandioso P1X SE model; it is not the discontinued P1X-to-P1X SE upgrade kit.
