About the P03

The Esoteric P-03 is a premium universal disc transport from around 2007, designed for exceptional audio and video playback. It employs a VRDS-NEO mechanism with a duralumin turntable, 20mm-thick steel bridge, and rigid sliding-shaft pickup structure to minimize vibrations and ensure precise data reading. Supports Super Audio CD, CD, CD-R/RW, DVD Video/Audio, Video CD, DVD-R/RW. Features upward conversion for CD playback up to 176.4kHz PCM or DSD conversion, word sync input, and outputs including i.LINK (FireWire), balanced XLR (for ES-LINK or Dual AES), RCA coaxial, HDMI video up to 1080p, component video. Built with separate power supply and transport blocks, thick aluminum panels, and hardened steel pinpoint feet for vibration isolation. Paired typically with D-03 DAC. No longer manufactured.
