About the Nibiru

The ESE Labs Nibiru is a high-end moving coil (MC) phonostage featuring a discrete solid state current domain design. It uses proprietary current domain hybrid blocks to reduce distortion by tenfold and widen the bandpass significantly. The device outputs current signals (I-out) which sound clearer than standard voltage outputs and can also be used with standard voltage equipment. The phonostage has ultra low noise local supplies with individual buffering and uses top-quality polystyrene capacitors with tight tolerance matching (less than 0.2% L-R matching) to maintain phase coherence and soundstage integrity. The housing measures approximately 280x220x105 mm (WxDxH) and is made of black coated aluminum with a front panel available in American walnut, Brazilian rosewood, tiger wood (Goncalo Alves), or black acrylic. It features a single LED power indicator and a gold plaque with the brand and model name. The design emphasizes purity, transparency, and musical involvement, delivering a very quiet background and detailed, coherent sound. The Nibiru is highly regarded for its precision and smooth performance, making it suitable for high-end MC cartridges and audiophile systems.
