About the Mk6

The ERA Mk6 is a 2-speed integrated turntable known for its flexibility, as it is supplied without a tonearm, allowing users to choose their preferred high-quality arm. It shares many features with the ERA 444 turntable, including the ultra-slow 48-pole synchronous motor, Silent Bloc mounting, and a smoke-tinted Plexiglass cover. The turntable operates at speeds of 33 and 45 rpm and has a wow and flutter specification of less than 0.1%. The platter is 300mm in diameter and weighs 1.3kg. The drive method is a Flexiprene belt, and the dimensions are 410 x 310 x 100mm. The ERA Mk6 is noted for its unique mechanical layout, with the motor mounted on a sub-section that also houses the bearing, arm, and platter. The chassis is made from thin sheet steel painted black, and there is a wooden arm mounting board, often cut out for SME tonearms.
