About the Superclock 4
The Superclock 4 is a premium clock upgrade designed by Empirical Audio to enhance the timing accuracy and musical performance of digital audio devices such as the Pace-Car USB reclocker and Off-Ramp USB converters. It replaces the standard custom clocks included with these devices, providing significantly lower jitter and a more musical sound. The Superclock 4 supports multiple sample rates including 44.1kHz, 88.2kHz, 176.4kHz, 96kHz, and 192kHz, and is typically used in pairs to cover all sample rates (one clock for 44.1/88.2/176.4 kHz and another for 96/192 kHz). It is known for improving focus, image dimensionality, and bass tightness in digital audio playback. The Superclock 4 is also the only clock option used for tuning the Pace-Car USB reclocker in asynchronous mode, which requires sending the source device to Empirical Audio for calibration.
