The Empire 1000 ZE/X is a high-level moving-magnet phono cartridge featuring a hand-polished micro-elliptical diamond stylus with a 0.2 × 0.7 mil tip. Its specifications include a 4–40,000 Hz frequency response, 5.0 mV output, 35 dB channel separation, and a recommended tracking force of 0.25–1.25 grams. The cartridge uses a low-dynamic-mass design, high-compliance stylus, four-coil system, and replaceable stylus assembly. It was designed for standard stereo and mono record playback; the available specifications do not establish support for 78 rpm records.
