About the XPA HC-1

The Emotiva XPA HC-1 is a single-channel, high-current monoblock power amplifier from Emotiva’s XPA Gen3 family. It uses a fully discrete, dual-differential Class A/B output stage and an optimized Class H high-efficiency switch-mode power supply. The amplifier accepts either balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA input, provides 300 watts RMS into 8 ohms and 600 watts RMS into 4 ohms, and is designed to drive demanding loudspeakers. It includes microprocessor-controlled protection, gold-plated five-way speaker terminals, and 12-volt trigger input and output connections. Published dimensions and measurements vary slightly by source and measurement convention; the manufacturer’s commonly cited physical dimensions are approximately 213 mm wide, 194 mm high, and 483 mm deep including feet and connectors.
