The Emotiva UPA-200 is a true audiophile-quality stereo power amplifier designed with advanced engineering techniques to provide clean, dynamic power with low distortion and noise. It features a fully discrete, dual differential, high current, short signal path Class A/B topology. The amplifier delivers 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms, all channels driven, with a frequency response from 5 Hz to 80 kHz (+0/-2 dB) and a rated power bandwidth of 10 Hz to 20 kHz (+/- 0.1 dB). It has a very low total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of less than 0.03% and a high signal-to-noise ratio of over 92 dB at 1 watt and 106 dB at rated power. The damping factor is greater than 500 at 8 ohms. The UPA-200 uses a 350 VA high current ultra-low noise toroidal power transformer and 40,000 uF of storage capacitance, ensuring stable operation even with difficult loudspeaker loads. Protection features include safeguards against excessive temperature, shorted speaker connections, and ground faults, with fault indication via LED status lights. The amplifier has gold-plated five-way binding posts for speaker connections and gold-plated RCA inputs. Its chassis is constructed from solid steel with a 15mm solid milled aluminum faceplate, and it includes channel status LEDs that can be disabled. Dimensions are approximately 17" wide x 3.375" high x 16.5" deep, weighing about 24 lbs (net). The UPA-200 is designed to pair well with Emotiva's Ultra Series preamplifiers or surround processors, or to upgrade existing AV receivers for improved sound quality. It supports 115 VAC or 230 VAC with automatic detection and switching. The styling is understated to blend with any décor, matching other Emotiva gear.
