The Emotiva RMC-1 is a high-end 16-channel surround sound processor designed for audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts. It supports immersive audio formats including Dolby Atmos up to 9.1.6 channels and DTS:X up to 7.1.4 channels. The unit features eight HDMI 2.0b inputs and two HDMI 2.0b outputs with HDCP 2.2 compliance, supporting full 4K UHD video and HDR formats such as Dolby Vision and HDR10. It offers 16 fully balanced XLR analog audio outputs for flexible speaker configurations and includes balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog inputs. The processor is powered by twin Analog Devices dual-core 450 MHz DSP engines and individual AKM4490 Verita DACs for each output channel, delivering audiophile-quality sound. It includes advanced room calibration tools with Dirac Live room correction and manual parametric EQ with 11 bands per channel. The front panel has dual high-resolution OLED displays and a multi-axis encoder knob for intuitive control, complemented by a machined aluminum remote and network/home automation integration. Expansion modules are available for adding phono preamp and additional balanced inputs. The RMC-1 measures 17" wide x 15.5" deep x 7" high and weighs 24 lbs unboxed.
