The Emotiva XPA-DR3 GEN3 is a three-channel power amplifier designed for audiophile and home theater applications, combining exceptional accuracy and finesse of a fully differential balanced amplifier with high power output. It delivers 450 watts RMS per channel into 8 Ohms and 600 watts RMS per channel into 4 Ohms, all three channels driven, with distortion under 0.1% THD. The amplifier uses three Differential Reference™ amplifier modules, each employing fully analog Class A/B output stages with Soft-Switch™ Class H power supply topology for enhanced efficiency and cooler operation. The power supply is a high-current, switch mode power supply (SMPS) capable of delivering over 3 kW of continuous power with high efficiency and reliability. The amplifier features a fully modular, fully balanced design with microprocessor-controlled fault protection, and offers both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs per channel. It is ideal for powering the critical front three channels in surround sound or music systems, providing detailed, powerful, and natural sound reproduction with a wide bandwidth and low distortion. The unit is built in the USA with a sturdy steel chassis and includes protection against temperature, short circuits, and ground faults.
