The Emotiva BasX A2mini is a versatile amplifier that offers audiophile-grade performance in a compact form factor. It features a class A/B output section, similar to other BasX amplifiers, and is powered by a highly efficient switch-mode power supply (SMPS). This allows for cool and efficient operation while delivering ample power. The A2mini is capable of driving both high impedance headphones and low-efficiency planar headphones with excellent damping and output capabilities. It includes flexible power switching options, allowing it to remain on or switch on automatically when detecting an incoming audio signal or a trigger signal. Users can configure it as either a fixed gain power amplifier or a variable gain integrated amplifier. The front panel features a knurled aluminum volume control knob that operates a precision digitally controlled analog ladder network volume control, ensuring low noise and distortion with excellent channel tracking.
