The Meitner Audio DS-EQ2 is an optical phono equalizer that integrates Meitner's proven optical equalization technology into a single-ended, streamlined package. Following the ground-breaking EMM Labs DS-EQ1, the DS-EQ2 is designed with an obsessive desire to lower noise and distortion while extracting every bit of information from any DS Audio optical cartridge. All circuits are Meitner-designed in-house and optimized for short, direct audio paths. The DS-EQ2 features proprietary discrete equalization specifically designed for all DS Audio optical cartridges, custom-designed single-ended discrete Class A amplification, and front-panel electronically selectable filter response options. It utilizes simplified chassis construction with high-quality components and a universal power supply. Designed and manufactured in Canada, the DS-EQ2 earned a Reviewers' Choice award and is recognized as a Recommended Reference Component.
