About the DCC2
The EMM Labs DCC2 Digital Control Center, designed by Ed Meitner, is a reference-level stereo D/A converter and preamplifier that evolved from professional-grade converter systems used in recording studios. It employs MDAT technology for jitter-free DSD upsampling of SACD and PCM sources, MFAST for instant signal acquisition, and proprietary discrete dual differential DACs for exceptional transparency and dynamic range. Flexible as a standalone DAC or full preamp, it eliminates the need for separate high-end preamplifiers with its superior variable output stage. Paired optimally with the CDSD transport via proprietary optical links, it delivers crystal-clear detail, natural sound, and surpasses many analog turntables. Production spanned approximately 2005-2008, now listed among legacy products.
