The ELAC Uni-Fi FS U5 Slim is a high-performance 3-way floorstanding speaker featuring a custom-designed concentric driver with a 1-inch soft dome tweeter concentrically mounted within a 4-inch aluminum cone midrange, complemented by three 5.25-inch aluminum cone woofers. It delivers a frequency response of 42 Hz to 25 kHz with a sensitivity of 85 dB and nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The speaker cabinet is ported (bass-reflex) with internal bracing to reduce vibration and unwanted coloration, finished in a high-quality satin black paint. It includes stabilizer bars, adjustable feet with metal spikes, protective discs for non-carpeted floors, and a magnetically attached cloth grille. The design emphasizes precise imaging, smooth driver transitions via a sophisticated crossover, and stable floor coupling through an outrigger base. Recommended amplifier power is 40 to 140 watts, with a 3-year warranty.
