The ELAC Navis ARB-51 is a three-way powered/active bookshelf loudspeaker in ELAC's Navis series, sharing its core driver platform and tri-amp analog amplification system with the ARF-51 floorstanding model. It uses a coaxial driver combining a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter concentrically mounted in a 4-inch aluminum midrange, partnered with a separate 5.25-inch aluminum woofer, all in a bass-reflex (rear-ported) cabinet for extended low-frequency response. Each of the three drivers is powered by its own dedicated analog amplifier (160 W BASH for the woofer, 100 W BASH for the midrange, and 40 W Class AB for the tweeter), delivering 300 W total per speaker and maintaining a fully analog signal path with no onboard DAC or DSP. Rear-panel controls include RCA/XLR/wireless input selection, gain setting, high-pass filter options for subwoofer integration, and analog EQ contour switches for low, mid, and high frequencies to better match different room placements and acoustics. The speaker is known for its rich, full-bodied, slightly warm midrange and high resolution, making it especially strong with vocals and detailed music reproduction. The ARB-51 incorporates ELAC's AirX² wireless capability when used with the optional Discovery Connect transmitter, enabling wireless streaming of sources such as Spotify Connect, AirPlay, Bluetooth, Roon, and ELAC's Discovery ecosystem. It is offered in Gloss Black and Gloss White finishes, with a clean, screw-free front baffle and compact enclosure dimensions suited to stands or shelves.
