About the TU3
The Einstein TU-3 is a premium tube line preamplifier featuring a fully balanced, dual-differential dual-mono design with separate transformers for each channel. It offers an extremely wide bandwidth from 2 Hz to 300 kHz and places the volume control outside the signal path to minimize sonic degradation. The TU-3 incorporates a floating suspended sub-chassis to isolate vibrations and resonances from the input and differential stages, enhancing imaging, focus, and detail retrieval. It uses 19 vacuum tubes (including 18 E88CC/6922 and 1 ECC82/12AU7) and has a very low output impedance of 50 ohms. The unit is finished in black glass with chrome edging and weighs approximately 15 kg. It includes a single pair of XLR main outputs, three XLR inputs (Phono, CD, Tuner), and RCA jacks for recording and monitor inputs.
