About the Master
The Ecosse Master Reference Interconnect is a premium analogue audio cable designed for audiophiles seeking exceptional sound clarity and detail. It uses monocrystal copper conductors arranged in a twisted pair topology and is triple screened to minimize noise and interference. The cable undergoes Deep Cryogenic Treatment (DCT), cooled to -185ºC, which enhances the performance of the materials by reducing atomic movement, resulting in improved signal transmission. The plug casings are precision machined from high-quality copper alloy and deep-plated for additional shielding. It is available in RCA and XLR terminations, with the RCA version wired in a pseudo-balanced fashion and the XLR version for fully balanced systems. The cable is directional, indicated by an arrow on the sleeve. It is suitable for use between pre and power amplifiers, CD players and preamps, or as a tone-arm cable. Reviews highlight its excellent detail, clarity, dynamic range, and spacious soundstage, with some comparing its performance favorably against much more expensive cables. The Master Reference is recommended for pairing with Ecosse's Monocrystal speaker cables for optimal synergy.
