About the Yoshino Phono Box Classic MC/MM
The EAR Yoshino Phono Box Classic MC/MM is a high-quality phono preamplifier that replaces the legendary EAR 834P. It features three 13D16 vacuum tubes, which are optionally fitted with ECC83 tubes. The device offers RCA inputs for both MM and MC cartridges and provides RCA line outputs. The MM input has a standard 47k Ohm impedance, while the MC input typically ranges from 5 to 50 Ohms, though some versions are set at 470 Ohms. The MM input sensitivity is 2.2mV for 1V at 1kHz, and the MC input sensitivity is 0.22mV for 1V at 1kHz, with voltage gains of approximately 53dB and 73dB respectively. The Phono Box is available in both black aluminum and chrome finishes, weighing 3.5kg and 4.0kg respectively.
