The Disc Master turntable by Ear Yoshino Ltd. is a remarkable high-fidelity analog source designed with a no-contact drive system that sets a new standard for LP playback. It features a platter made from an ultra-low-resonance composite of resin and inorganic filler, which is accurately machined and supported on an instrument-grade aluminum chassis to minimize resonance and ensure stable rotation. The platter incorporates resin/ceramic materials chosen for their density and deadening properties, preventing asymmetries of mass that could cause wobble. The turntable is supplied with a special EAR version of the Helius Omega tonearm and includes a separate off-board speed controller capable of 33, 45, and 78 RPM speeds.
